Abstract

The article considers the process of urbanization contributing to the emergence of global and local challenges. The nature and character of the challenges reflect the anthropogenic problems inherent in the philosophy of science development as an image of its future and culture. As an applied science of regulating and planning the process of urbanization urban planning is explored through the challenges that arise and the theories responding to them. In this paradigm, there are two approaches to defining the anthropogenic factor: as a negative result and as a set of consequences of human activity, the latter of which is generally accepted due to the universality of tools for assessing the results of urban planning. Thus, the anthropogenic impact can be studied in the context of standards of quality of life of citizens, new urban policy and environmentally oriented solutions. As a form of conscious landscape organization, the process of terraforming is based on the goal setting of urban planning activity, which is characterized by relativity and formal limitation. In this regard, there are trends in the formation and development of urban planning systems, resulting in the accumulation and entrenchment negative results of anthropogenic impact and urban planning solutions progressive implementation. Overcoming the challenges requires a qualitative rethinking of the development of urbane landscape and urban planning anthropogenic
factor. In this regard, the author’s approach to the definition of the theory of planetarity to conduct urban planning activities, as well as the image of the progressive future
urban planning system is proposed.
