Abstract

The article discusses the issues of analyzing the organization of urban space to assess its ability to meet the needs of residents and perform the required functions. Approaches to assessing the quality of an urbanized territory are explored, with an emphasis on approaches to assessing territorial accessibility and the level of provision of a territory with any objects, as well as assessing the density of objects per unit area or population. The problems of structuring an urbanized territory are considered for the purpose of analyzing its provision based on administrative boundaries, regular grids of squares, hexagons or triangles, or according to elements of the city's planning structure (blocks, microdistricts, land plots, buildings, etc.). A hierarchical model of urban space is proposed, presented in the form of three systems: street blocks, land plots and buildings.
