Abstract

The article deals with the issues of complex development of the breadcrumb organization of university campuses on the basis of domestic and foreign analogues of the integration of outdated and closed spaces that do not have further development into open ones by forming a new system of public space. The typology of the formation and functional purpose is revealed on the example of the territory of the Institute of Architecture and Construction (IAIS) of the Volgograd State Technical University (VSTU), and the territory adjacent to the university. The problems and features of university territories and the organization of their spaces are analyzed. In the process of analyzing the existing territory of the IAIS of VSTU, a model of interaction between the university territory and the urban environment has been developed. The territory of the object under study, in the project proposal, reflects the inclusion of an open-plan structure in the framework of the city and forms a single urban environment.
