Abstract
The paper demonstrates that urban microclimate, building envelope and HVAC-systems are closely interrelated, thus this aspects should be considered as a single energy system. Paradoxes of energy saving in the metropolis have been identified. These paradoxes complicate the problem, but allow you to more fully and accurately approach its solution. Overcoming paradoxes will make it possible to develop science-based solutions for environmentally friendly, carbon neutral, bio-positive, energy-efficient, resource-saving buildings for the development of sustainable architecture.
