Abstract

The visitor centers of natural and national parks play an essential role in informing visitors about the natural features of parks, their ecosystems, flora and fauna, as well as in providing information about available routes and activities. When designing and building such centers, attention should be paid to the harmony of architecture with the surrounding natural environment. The main periods are analyzed and the corresponding tables illustrating this process are presented. Based on various features, a periodization of the architecture of the visitor centers has been created. This allows us to understand the evolution of approaches to the design of visiting centers of natural and national parks, their importance in environmental protection activities. The data and conclusions obtained can be useful for improving design practices, the placement of visitor centers, as well as for further research in the field of protection and ecology of natural territories. The study can serve as a basis for the development of effective architectural and planning models of buildings of this type. To understand the features of the architectural formation of such buildings, a comprehensive analysis was carried out, in which various characteristics were identified. Analysis of the development and distribution of visitor centers is an important component of preserving and promoting unique natural resources, allowing visitors to balance their needs with environmental objectives.
