The article discusses the issues of analyzing the organization of urban space to assess its ability to meet the needs of residents and perform the required functions. Approaches to assessing the quality of an urbanized territory are being investigated, with an emphasis on approaches to assessing territorial accessibility and the level of provision of a territory with any facilities, as well as to assessing the density of facilities per unit area or population. The problems of structuring an urbanized territory for the analysis of its security are considered on the basis of administrative boundaries, regular grids of squares, hexagons or triangles, or elements of the planning structure of the city (blocks, neighborhoods, land, buildings, etc.). A hierarchical model of urbanized space is proposed, presented in the form of three systems: street blocks, land and buildings.
