A SOCIOLOGICAL SURVEY AS A TOOL FOR PLANNING THE GREEN INFRASTRUCTURE OF CITIES

The article analyzes the Russian and foreign experience of conducting opinion polls on the state and development of green infrastructure using the example of St. Petersburg, Kaliningrad, Nizhnevartovsk, Irkutsk, Tomsk, Arkhangelsk, Yerevan, Berlin and US cities in the context of the growing need for environmental improvement. An overview of sources on the state of green spaces in Arkhangelsk and the results of a survey conducted in 2023 are presented. a sociological survey of residents of the cities of the Arkhangelsk region (Arkhangelsk, Severodvinsk, Kotlas, etc.) about their attitude to the state of the environment and the ZI of their settlements with the preparation of a list of the most problematic green areas. The opinion of citizens on measures to care for green spaces, ways to develop green spaces and the demand for ecosystem services has been studied. Recommendations on the application of the survey results in the implementation of the concept of urban development are formulated. Conclusions are drawn about the importance of conducting long-term sociological research in order to obtain objective information about the quality of landscaping, as well as the formation of an ecological culture of citizens in order to involve them in the management of urban development and, in particular, the development of urban planning documentation within the framework of an ecological approach.
