FORMATION OF THE GREEN FRAMEWORK OF THE URBAN PLANNING SYSTEM "GREATER VOLGOGRAD"
Keywords:
URBAN PLANNING SYSTEM, GREEN FRAMEWORK, GREATER VOLGOGRAD, STRATEGIC TERRITORIAL PLANNINGAbstract
The green framework is a complex structure where each element (core, corridor, etc.) performs unique functions that support the environmental sustainability of the urban planning system. For the successful functioning of this system, it is necessary to have a unified spatial territorial strategy, in which the key task is to integrate the green framework into urban and regional planning. This requires the development of an integrated approach that takes into account not only the preservation of existing green areas, but also the creation of new ones, especially in areas subject to the greatest anthropogenic impact. The prospects for the sustainable development of the region directly depend on success in supporting the health and integration of ecosystems. This requires a combination of efforts from all stakeholders, including government and municipal authorities, environmental organizations, private businesses, and local communities. Joint actions to strengthen the green framework can be an effective tool for adapting to climate change, protecting biodiversity, and providing future generations with a healthy and sustainable environment. The daily life of urban planning systems extends beyond the city limits, having a significant impact on the surrounding areas. These systems shape the use of suburban areas and largely determine their appearance. Large cities with populations exceeding one million people have the greatest impact on neighboring territories, transforming them depending on their needs. In Russia, such cities are mainly concentrated in the European part of the country. Their development and the dynamics of life inevitably lead to changes in the landscape and infrastructure of suburban areas, contributing to their integration into the overall metropolitan system. All these questions and objectives of the scientific article are a continuation of the scientific school of Academician A.V. Antyufeev, who, together with Professor V. I. Atopov introduced the concept of the urban planning system "Greater Volgograd", which became a further subject of study for their students and followers.
