In their work, the authors build a conceptual grid to distinguish the space of a Russian post-Soviet city in order to answer the questions: how should urban space be structured in the context of current opportunities to meet the needs of modern people, taking into account the constant growth of the population and the volume of its needs; how is the mobility of urban space users built in the structure of residential territory; what importance is attached to the environment created by buildings, and whether it is able to meet the numerous needs of citizens.
