The article is devoted to the description of a method for intelligent support of urban planning decisions in the context of widespread implementation of information modelling technologies and increased requirements for interdisciplinary coordination of design solutions. It is shown that the coordination and review procedures require not only an up-to-date digital model, but also the systematisation of knowledge about urban planning decisions, regulatory requirements, operating conditions and other parameters that influence the justification of design options. Based on an analysis of the urban planning process and regulatory and reference information, an ontological model has been developed to structure requirements, unify terminology, and compare standards with project parameters. A method of analysis has been proposed that combines data from informational, geometric, and ontological models and ensures that the digital model complies with current norms and standards. The method is invariant to a specific design task and allows for variable application depending on the completeness of the ontological model and the set of rules for the selected class of objects and design conditions. The verification results from a list of non-conformities linked to specific requirements and model elements, which improves traceability of control, simplifies coordination, and supports urban planning decisions at early stages of design.
