Over the past two decades, China, India, South Korea, Indonesia and other countries in the Asian region, as well as in the Middle East, have made a qualitative leap in the intensification of urban development. This process has affected both existing cities and completely new urban formations. The planning and construction of new cities, the reformatting of space, and the intensive development of historical settlement sites have developed a series of strategies that have developed their own distinct regional specifics. This article is devoted to the identification and analysis of tools for regional urban development strategies and the formation of their new imagery in the modern world.
